The assessment of human bioclimate of Vranje health resort (Serbia) based on Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI) with the focus on extreme biothermal conditions

The study deals with an assessment and interpretation of the bioclimatic conditions in Vranje (southern Serbia). aims at temporal distributions focussing on extreme thermal stress based Universal Thermal Climate Index (UTCI). meteorological data required for calculation UTCI concern hourly (7 14 CET) weather collected period 2000-2017. frequency very strong heat (VSHS), cold (VSCS) (ECS) both morning midday hours. Furthermore, daily difference values (diurnal change) are specified, giving variance stress. results revealed days which prevails studied period. obtained show increase biothermal conditions, while decline, especially last 10 years. However, (the number days) (VSHS) increased since 2007. A spectacular was observed month September, particularly 2015.
